Hello! My name is Steve Roberts D.hyp Adv. MUFH and I am an established, fully qualified and professionally registered Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist.

My appointments manager is Ian Douglas and our company name is Hypnoassist. We provide a specialised service and have been helping clients to quit tobacco for over 7 years. We are very conveniently located at Kings Cross, just a stones throw from the station.

I hold several diplomas in Hypnosis (one advanced) and Psychotherapy. I am a member of the United Fellowship of Hypnotherapists.

Powerful, Successful Therapy

Hypnosis is the most powerful way to quit tobacco because it works directly with your subconscious mind, reprogramming your inner attitude to smoking and eliminating your desire to smoke. In the hands of an experienced practitioner such as myself it is completely safe, no drugs are used and there are no unwanted side-effects.

The aim of the therapy is to make you feel good about not smoking. It is also designed to give you the mindset of a non-smoker rather than an ex-smoker. This makes the cure permanent. Let me ask you: If at this time in your life you were a non-smoker, would you start now? Of course you wouldn't. The tobacco companies hook you in at about the same time you get acne.

Hypnosis & Guarantees

Please note that my reputation sells my service, not guarantees which are by far and large meaningless. Hypnosis cannot be guaranteed and it is illegal to do so. Endless free "back-ups" are pointless and I have yet to see a genuine money back guarantee. You don't get a guarantee from NRT manufacturers (surprise, surprise). In 2002 I was the first hypnotherapist in the world to enable clients to make their own subliminal message recording. I withdrew this facility in 2006 as it was taking up too much of the session time. I have now revamped and relaunched this innovative idea, and it is even better than before.

When you arrive for your session I will give you a short lesson in self-hypnosis. This will be supported by a cd with a track containing a completely safe hypnotic induction followed by suggestions to remain a non-smoker. In the background of the music is a machine-looped digitally engineered subliminal message that is intended to bolster your resolve to stay smoke free. The track also contains a binaural beat. (A binaural beat is simply an electronic waveform to which your brainwaves will synchronise and slow down, enabling you to relax - and enter the hypnotic state - more easily).

You can use the self-hypnosis routine anywhere and at anytime, with or without the cd. Again, I believe I am the only Hypnotherapist in the world to offer this facility.

Please note that the induction is one approved by The British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis and is used by mainstream medical professionals who practice hypnosis. The recording is completely safe to listen to (except when operating machinery or similar), and you can listen to it at any future time in the unlikely event that you should find yourself craving a cigarette.

Appointments

Would you please note that my appointments manager, Ian, works flexible hours Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you call and he is not here just leave your name and number on our answering machine and Ian will call you back a.s.a.p.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday. The first is at 10 a.m. the last is at 3 p.m. The fee is £250. However, you can obtain a £70 discount by booking yourself in on a Wednesday and handing over your old lighter. To make an appointment simply call Ian on the above number and he will assist you. Once the appointment has been made you return to this page to pay £80 deposit via the "NOCHEX" secure on-line payment system.

You pay the balance in cash when you arrive. You will be given a written receipt.

"NOCHEX" will let us know within just a few minutes that your deposit has been paid (they will also email you with a receipt). Ian will then call you back to confirm your appointment, so please make sure you are by your phone for several minutes after making payment.

Please note that 2 hours are put aside for each client so when you make your appointment please be certain that you can keep it; deposits are non-refundable.
